I love strategy games, but have clearly missed something here. You would expect ramping difficulty. But frankly, youll be dead after a few rounds. Guaranteed. Im not having enough fun to continue, after a day.

A very deep game with lots of different strategy options. A lot of care has been put into the creation of the app and the latest update added more depth to the gameplay.
Great game! Cant stop playing, each attempt is a new adventure. Learn it, then youll love it.
Surprisingly thoughtful strategy game in a small short package. Combines elements of tactical and strategic play in a gloriously doomed setting. Great for "just one more play" even if it doesnt (and cant) end well. Updates add depth and variety.
Simple yet difficult to master.
Impeccable gameplay and deck building. Get this game
A weird, wonderful blend of genres. The battles play kind of like the boardgame memoir 44 and the overland is like if master of magic was a game about building your deck.
...but not quite complex enough. There could be a bit more in regards to city building.
This game is buggy, prone to crashing, and lacking in polish. One improvement would be to let units slowly gain some XP. As it is, you can have a maxed out army and use it over and over and over again. At least your cities can be improved, though some more options there would also be nice. The ability to zoom in and out on the world map would be handy late in the game. And no support for landscape is unforgivable! On the other hand, using cards in combat is a nice touch. Overall a fun game, but it feels like a prototype for a much bigger, more complex game -- the basic formula is great, but I want more options -- more units, XP, more things to discover on the map -- more variety in general. Looking forward to an expansion pack or sequel.
Everything was going fine until I really got the hang of the game and started doing well. At that point the game seemed to get stuck crashing after any large battle, at the "Choose Spoils!" screen. Cant reliably play. iPad mini iOS 7. 5 stars if crashes fixed.
Im really diggs this one. Feels new and fresh!
Great game, like civ for iphone.
The latest update crashes sporadically and also appears to crash immediately after every battle that would put the score over 100 VP (there is no way to continue after that point).
Ive enjoyed it so far. There is no way to win and yet you want to survive for a bit more. Enemies get stronger. You start to build your deck. You start to think about abandoning towns and moving before attacks. so much stress, I love it.
Definitely entertaining, easy to understand after a couple rounds but lots of fun and has some depth. Touch controls on the iPod are sometimes imprecise, and it advertises itself as very difficult, though I think it could maybe use a hard mode. First game Ive been hooked on in a while, though! Definitely recommended.
You have little to no control over combat as units are randomly aligned and will then mindlessly advance every turn. Sit back and watch your front line archers charge while your infantry sits behind them and the cavalry rides past the enemy into empty spaces.
Taking the best parts of civ, deck building games and a rougelike twist this is a great game for folks who know the best experiences arent all about winning all the time. Stave off an eminent doom for as long as possible to gather victory points. Crybabies need not apply!
I love this game- it is sort of complicated when you begin but give it a chance and youll love it. But- it does crash sometimes. Hopefully this will get fixed and then it will be worth 5 stars.
Masters a magic crossed with magic the gathering card game crossed with the apocalypse equals incredibly awesome strategy game for anyone who likes the genre
Could have a few more game modes as it gets old fairly quickly but easy game to pick up if you are use to deck building games. Definitely a unique and fun game.
